Paul explained everything clearly before we set off, which gave us confidence even though we’d never driven a boat before. Being out on the Grand Union Canal was so peaceful, and having the freedom to cruise at our own pace made the day feel really special. The boat was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed, making it easy to just relax and enjoy the time together. It’s a brilliant way to spend a day if you want something a bit different and genuinely enjoyable. We’d definitely recommend it and would love to come back again.

We had such a lovely day out with Canal Boat Day Hire. From the moment we arrived, everything felt relaxed and well organised, which really put us at ease as it was our first time on a narrowboat. The handover was clear and friendly, and we never felt rushed or overwhelmed. The boat itself was clean, comfortable, and easy to handle. Cruising along the Grand Union Canal was incredibly peaceful, and it was nice being able to take our time, enjoy the scenery, and stop along the way. It genuinely felt like a proper escape from everyday life. If you’re looking for something different to do, especially if you’ve never been canal boating before, I’d highly recommend this experience. We’d happily book again.
